Taproot

Taproot is a community of practice, a series of programmatic offerings, and a growing body of work --- Taproot comes from a deep longing of Jews alienated from their roots to sink deeper into the groundwaters of Jewish spirituality as a source of meaning and relevance in our everyday lives. Taproot is creating a container for emerging Jewish educators, activists, artists, and ritualists to draw deep from the wells of the mystical, magical, queer, earth-based, and prophetic dimensions of Jewish tradition in support of capacity, resilience, and creative action.

The Taproot Immersion runs annually from November to July, after which they offer public and alumni programming. Through these different offerings, Taproot seeks to mobilize white-assimilated Jewish leaders and continue to cultivate an ongoing community of practice.
