Community Fundraising and Program Officer
About the Jewish Liberation Fund
The Jewish Liberation Fund (JLF) mobilizes resources to sustain and grow the progressive Jewish movement for justice and liberation. The Jewish Liberation Fund is a fiscally sponsored project of Proteus Fund.
JLF’s organizational culture is characterized by a relationship-first orientation: building trust both within and outside of the organization in order to support and facilitate taking risks with our grantmaking, exploring new and innovative approaches to sustaining our movement, and building an organization that reflects the world our movement is working to build: joyful, abundant, equitable, and liberatory. We seek to ground our work in deep, authentic knowledge of the issues and communities we fund, by investing in and trusting the leadership of those most directly impacted. JLF works to incorporate anti-racist principles and praxis into every level of the organization. As one concrete manifestation of that commitment, our Steering Committee is composed entirely of Black and Indigenous Jews, Jews of Color, Sephardi, and/or Mizrahi Jews (BIJOCSM).
