Transforming Jewish Philanthropy

As Jewish institutions evolve to meet the changing demands of social movements, our funding practices must change as well.

The Brick by Brick Fellowship is a year-long leadership program that equips Jewish funders with organizing tools, relationships, and new grantmaking practices to become powerful allies to modern movements.

We know that many Jewish funders are ready to support power-building movements. However, too often funders are missing critical perspectives from organizers, practical strategies for change, and a team of peers they can turn to when they hit challenges in their grantmaking.

Brick by Brick is changing this reality.

Designed by Movement Leaders

The cohort experience and curriculum are designed by diverse leaders of progressive social movements to address the specific challenges that Jewish funders are navigating today.

We focus on supporting you as an individual and ensuring that you are not alone in making long-lasting changes to your grantmaking.

We’re not consultants

We’re a team of people who care about building power and meaningful values-aligned grantmaking. We’re creating a community of bold grantmakers that are ready to experiment with new ways of supporting organizers on the ground and hold each other accountable to equitable, powerful grantmaking.
